Build it yourself, step by step
With a little practical skill, a head for heights and a sense of responsibility, you can put up the smaller windmills yourself, without a crane. Just keep safety in mind at every step: your own, and that of the friends helping you.
All you need for the job is a set of open-ended spanners and a socket set. Work your way calmly from the bottom of the tower upwards.
Then fit the pump (flanged or screwed connection) to the first pipe section and lower it slowly into the well using the lifting rig you have set up.

Practical skill is all it takes
With a little practical skill, a head for heights and a sense of responsibility, the smaller windmills can be erected without a crane. Safety measures such as harnesses and safety lines are essential to prevent accidents caused by falling parts or sudden gusts of wind.
What you need for the installation
Our wind pumps are ingeniously designed, so almost anyone with practical ability can assemble one. You build from the bottom up using open-ended spanners and socket wrenches; the lattice tower sections are bolted together and braced. Our tip: leave the bolts loose until the lattice tower is completely assembled.
Installing the water pump
Finally, the piston pump, the rising main and the pump rod are installed. These components are lowered into the well section by section using a pulley or a block and tackle.
