Overview
A tradition going back decades
The story of our wind pump manufacturing begins in 1964. In 1982, commercial production of the first generation of wind-powered water pumps opened its doors.
At first the company concentrated on its local market: of around 100 wind pumps built each year, roughly a third were installed in the home region. Later the pumps were sold internationally as well, across Europe (including Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Italy and France), Africa (Togo, Morocco and others) and Latin America.
In early 2010, two long-established companies began working together. At the end of that year, Buesser & Montagnani GbR founded the Windwasserpumpe.de business division.

The company story
The early days
The story of our wind pump manufacturing begins in 1964: that year, at the age of 16, the founder built his first windmill on his parents' land and discovered a lifelong passion for the engineering behind pumping water. In 1982, commercial production of the first generation of wind-powered water pumps opened its doors.
From the local market to the world
At first the company concentrated on its local market: of around 100 wind pumps a year, roughly a third were installed in the home region, for example to irrigate olive groves, vineyards and hazelnut plantations. As the number of installations grew and the internet opened new doors, the pumps found buyers worldwide: across Europe (Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Italy, France), Africa (Togo, Morocco and others) and Latin America (Panama, Brazil, Cuba).
Partnership since 2010
In early 2010, two long-established companies began working together. At the end of that year, Buesser & Montagnani GbR founded the Windwasserpumpe.de business division and took on the distribution of the wind-powered water pump in Germany. The two ranges and the two company philosophies fit together perfectly, the ideal basis for a lasting partnership between Windwasserpumpe.de and Pompaeolica in Italy.
