Proven piston pump technology

The piston pump draws groundwater from a well or a water reservoir. It is driven by the wind wheel through the pump rod: the up-and-down movement works the suction cylinder, which pushes the water upwards, even from enormous depths.

The piston pump in detail

How it works

The piston pump lifts groundwater from the depths of a well or a water reservoir. The pump rod connects it to the windmill and drives it. As the pump rod travels up and down, it moves the suction cylinder inside the pump and the water is carried to the surface. The system is equally at home raising water from enormous depths.

The right size for your site

Every installation needs the piston pump that suits it, matched to the conditions on site. The volume of water you need shows which wind wheel model is right for the job. Please bear in mind that output depends on the well depth and the wind strength, which is why each model has both a maximum and a minimum flow rate. We are happy to size your installation and put a quotation together for you.

A note on wear

Sand or heavily contaminated water increases wear on the very robust stainless steel piston pump. We therefore recommend always leaving enough clearance from the bottom of the well, so that you draw from clean layers of water wherever possible.
