The W 5015 is a hugely popular mid-size wind pump, a firm favourite with larger farming operations, on golf courses and wherever water levels need regulating. At a height of 15 m, its 5 m wind wheel generates 6,200 watts.

The system in detail
About the system
The wind wheel sits 15 metres up, measuring 5 m across and delivering 6,200 watts. To keep installation and maintenance simple, the lattice tower has a round walk-on platform with a railing, safely reached by a ladder fixed to the tower. For safety reasons, the wind wheel must be stopped before anyone steps onto the platform.
Performance & applications
At 12 m/s, the system pumps around 11,500 litres per hour from a depth of 36 m, and up to 13,000 litres from 18 m, which is just what farmers, livestock breeders, market gardeners and municipalities are looking for. The braking system and grease nipples sit behind the wind wheel; braking is done from the foot of the tower using the hand brake.
Lattice tower & foundations
The 15 m lattice tower holds the wind wheel securely and steadily, and is placed centrally over the well or borehole. We recommend installing it with a crane. Leg spacing 3,022 mm, diagonal 4,273 mm. The four legs stand on concrete foundations measuring 800 × 800 mm wide and 1,500 mm high; all foundations must be exactly the same height so that the tower stands straight.
Scope of delivery & price
The complete system arrives in one transport crate, fixings included: wind wheel, braking system, storm protection, lattice tower, reinforcing bars, piston pump, galvanised water pipes and pump rod. Every quote is individual and depends on the pump and the well depth: for the W 5015, expect a price from €22,000, with an average of around €29,000 per system.
