The quiet star among our wind-powered water pumps is the W 3009. It keeps large water stores topped up and, at 9 m, stays fairly low while still delivering plenty of power. With a little patience, time and enthusiasm, you can even erect it without a crane.

About the system
Right at the top, the lattice tower carries the 3 m wind wheel that generates 2,250 watts. To make installation and maintenance easier, you can choose a square walk-on platform (1 m²) or a much larger platform with a railing that visually matches the proportions of the windmill. For safety reasons, the wind wheel must be stopped with the hand brake before anyone steps onto the platform.
Performance & applications
From a depth of 36 m and at 12 m/s, this system delivers up to 3,500 litres of water per hour. That is exactly what convinces farmers, livestock breeders, market gardeners and municipalities across the widest range of uses. If buildings or trees at the site disturb the clean airflow to the wind wheel, the tower can be extended to a total height of 12 m or 15 m.
Lattice tower
The green lattice tower carries the wind wheel safely at a height of 9 m and is placed centrally over the well or borehole. Its four-legged structure can be bolted together piece by piece on site; for a quick build, a crane that lifts the sections pre-assembled on the ground is well worth it. Leg spacing 1,900 mm, diagonal 2,687 mm.
Foundations & scope of delivery
Each of the four legs needs a concrete foundation, usually 600 × 600 mm wide and 1,100 mm deep; reinforcing bars and bolts are included. The complete system arrives in one transport crate, fixings and all. Every quote is individual and depends on the pump and the well depth: for the W 3009, expect a price from €12,000, with an average of around €15,500 per system.
