The W 1806 is our smallest PE wind-powered water pump. It is the perfect choice for private use: watering the vegetable patch, the meadow, the fruit trees or the goldfish pond. With its 6 m lattice tower, the windmill is light enough to put up without a crane.

A closer look at the system
System description
Right at the top sits the wind wheel, 1.80 m in diameter, capable of producing 800 watts. You can reach it via the climbing steps fixed to the tower. At 6 m or 9 m, this wind-powered pump is not especially tall, so it needs a site that is free of wind shadow. Despite its compact size, the W 1806 delivers up to 1,800 litres per hour from a depth of 10 m when the wind is good.
The wind wheel
The yellow wind wheel measures 1.80 m across and generates up to 806 watts at 12 m/s. Behind it sit the braking system and the grease nipples. The braking system works much like the one in your car: a brake presses onto the brake drum to slow the wind wheel or lock it completely, operated from the foot of the tower using the hand brake. Lattice tower
The green lattice tower carries the wind wheel safely at a height of 6 m and is positioned centrally over the well or borehole, so the piston pump can be lowered into the water. The tower stands on four legs, each with its own foundation, is bolted together piece by piece on site and can be erected by two people without a crane. Leg spacing 1,300 mm, diagonal 1,838 mm.
Foundations
Each of the four legs needs a concrete foundation, as a rule 500 × 500 mm wide and 700 mm deep. Reinforcing bars and anchor bolts are included in the scope of delivery. One point is essential: all four foundations must be at exactly the same level so that the tower stands upright.
