A new wind pump is providing climate-ready, sustainable irrigation on Vienna's Donauinsel (Danube Island), entirely without electricity. As part of the EU project LIFE DICCA, the installation feeds the Endelteich, Wiesenteich and Windradteich ponds on the northern bank, protecting the island's wetlands from drying out in summer.
